Kyrgios settles with fan after ‘drunk out of her mind’ incident
Kyrgios, the tennis player accused of sexually assaulting a young fan, is said to be settling a lawsuit with one of the victim’s friends, who has filed a civil complaint with Wimbledon and who says she was “drunk out of her mind” the night of his alleged assault.
The woman — whom court records show is 27-year-old Tania Schleicher of London, England — told The Guardian that she and two other female friends had stayed at the Olympic Park Hotel in London’s Wimbledon Village area on the night of January 1, 2016, when they heard the player’s alleged assault on the court the next day. They took their statements after the alleged incident was reported to them by a woman they knew in the audience.
All four women are seeking $500,000 each from the man accused of violating her, who they say subjected her to a “drunken, aggressive and violent sexual assault” at a hotel room on the night of Jan. 1, 2016.
“The woman did not believe that the accused was capable of committing such an act,” the civil complaint says according to The Guardian. “When one of the female friends went to her room to tell her that she had been raped, the accused grabbed her by the shoulder and told her to ‘shut up’.”
“The woman felt intimidated and became afraid of the accused,” the complaint said. “At the same time, other people in the room were being friendly to her and told her not to worry. The woman also felt that she was too drunk to tell anyone what had happened.”

According to the complaint, the woman told police that she was intoxicated when he arrived at her room in Wimbledon Village on the evening of her birthday and asked her for a massage.
