Snow confirmed Monday that city health workers will be delivering the vaccine to some residents — in a clinic room and in homes — through Tuesday.

“It’s important that we do it as fast as possible,” he said.

“We’re giving people the benefit of our experience with this.”

Snow said the vaccine will be available for free, along with the rest of Toronto Public Health’s COVID-19 response and prevention services.

Parents are asked to bring their youngest children to the clinic room or to a home for immunization, and all children will be accompanied by an adult. The vaccine is also available to people living alone and seniors.

‘Don’t know if it will be effective or not’

Toronto Public Health will take steps to make sure that every child who attends the vaccine clinic has access to protective supplies.

City health officials will be handing out face masks, hand sanitizer, hand wipes, gloves and disinfectant wipes to residents who attend or who bring children to the clinic room on Monday, including to those who are experiencing symptoms.
