Trump tells fervent Texas rally he ‘will probably have to’ run for presidency again in 2020

President Trump has told a packed stadium in his home state that he is “very likely” to run for the White House again in 2020, adding that he will probably have to do so as a “low-energy” candidate.

Trump, meanwhile, was booed by a crowd of supporters on Tuesday night as his speech in Houston drew a largely pro-America crowd as Texas continues to reject his presidency.

“I believe I will probably have to do it as a low-energy person,” Trump said, drawing boos from a large crowd in Houston. “I’m not an energy person.”

He also spoke of the need for unity and compassion for both the current administration and for “the people who live in countries we’re going to be visiting.”

“Let’s remember that they, as much as they love us, are not like us, and they may not like us. It’s OK. They’re not supposed to like us, but they do,” Trump said.

“We are not enemies,” he said, adding, as he has during other speeches, that “we have to come together as one United States again.”

Trump said the country’s divisions “aren’t political, they’re about the fact that we’ve been divided.”

Trump took a shot at President Barack Obama’s foreign policy, saying that he wants “what he never got” from him: “a reset in the world.”

In his remarks, Trump also hit the Obama administration for its response to Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. Trump complained that the Trump administration paid too little attention to the relief effort for the island, saying that they “let a lot of people down.”

The president also mocked the “Trump tax” and the “Trump tariffs” and said he is the “great negotiator.”

Trump also complained that Obama has been spending too much time at his ranch in Montana and in Argentina.
