Voters in five states have the chance to wipe slavery and indentured servitude off the books, or on, if they choose.

If you live in Connecticut, Michigan, New Mexico, North Dakota or Vermont you now have the chance to pass a ballot initiative legalizing the “forcible servitude” of immigrant women and children. The “Fairness in Immigration” campaign in the four states is making its first official submission to the Secretary of State of Connecticut.

If they pass the initiative in each place, they will be able to make the initiative part of the state constitution. They will also be able to do much more than that. They will be able to eliminate all state support for slave labor. All slave labor that the state of Connecticut ever supported. In the New Mexico case, they would be able to do, if they had the courage to actually stand up to a Republican Senate, that same thing. They would be able to wipe out the state income tax.
