Letters to the Editor: Hey, Dodgers, care to comment on that racist ad played during the playoffs?

The Dodgers were up 16-0 in the seventh inning in Game 4 of the NLDS against the Reds, and Chris Coghlan hit the grand slam.
It seemed to be a major story on the Internet. But how about one more time, let’s talk about the real news.
The Dodgers’ manager of baseball operations, Don Mattingly, told the media that it wasn’t a question of whether he would make an issue of the ad because the video was a product of his decision to make it.
“I don’t think I need to go into that,” he said.
So why did he bring it up?
And why did he repeat that he didn’t think he needed to address it?
Was it because he was afraid to? Or that he didn’t want to? Or was it just a poor attempt at a joke?
Let’s take a look at the ad this time:
We know it wasn’t a joke.
We know it wasn’t a product of the decision because it came out the same day Mattingly said he wasn’t.
We know it wasn’t a product of Mattingly because the same day he denied it was a product of his decision.
We know it wasn’t a product of the decision because it has nothing to do with the decision. It was a random image from a YouTube video.
We know it wasn’t a product of someone who’s a baseball official because it was a random YouTube image, a random video and a random ad.
