Serena Williams is preparing for the WTA Tour All-Star event

Serena Williams has done it all in tennis, but there’s so much more to come from the women’s game.

The 21-year-old is heading into more lucrative professional years, as she begins to fulfill her dream of playing in the WTA Tour All-Star event that starts May 1 in Melbourne. She has one of the best singles records in tennis history, having won the U.S. Open in 2011, as well as the Australian Open in 2012 and 2013.

Now, she’s looking to continue that success as she prepares for the WTA Tour season. Williams also has plans to begin working on a new autobiography.

“I had a really good year,” Williams said to ABC News. “That’s all I can really comment on, I don’t want to tell you too much.”

‘You could almost be jealous’

Williams was selected to be part of the 2016 U.S. team for the All-Star Futures tournament, which will take place June 29-July 3 at the Mall of America in Minnesota. She was joined by fellow tennis star Maria Sharapova, along with former number one ranking player Serena Williams, who won the Australian Open in 2012.

In her first year with the WTA Tour, Williams finished in fourth place. Then, she won the Premier Mandatory event in Halle. The following year, she won Wimbledon for the second time.

Since then, Williams has had to deal with injuries that have kept her sidelined. However, she has been the most dominant player in the past four years, posting a 65 win-loss record in singles and 67 loss record in doubles.

Her next big step on the tour will be the WTA Tour season opener in Melbourne on May 1, where she will play a total of five matches against fellow members of the U.S. all-star team. Williams will then compete in the Premier Mandatory event in Doha, Qatar, for two weeks.

Not only is Williams taking on more difficult opponents, but she also will be playing at a very different level. She’s not only going to be playing at a high-level, but she’s also going to be playing in front of her home crowd.
